Samantha Hammer is a traditional astrologer based in Southern California. She began studying astrology in 2017 and has never lost focus and curiosity in the craft. Early exposure to The Astrology Podcast and the teachings of Austin Coppock, Chris Brennan, and Kelly Surtees helped her orient toward the traditional system and form a strong foundation for her astrological work to grow upon. After years of being self-taught, she is currently completing Austin Coppock’s Fundamentals of Astrology three-year program.

Her background also includes extensive work with crystals and mineral energetics. Samantha photographed a crystal and gemstone encyclopedia published by Penguin Playhouse, a project that showcased her familiarity with the visual and energetic qualities of gems. Her interest in how planetary themes intersect with the mineral world grew alongside her astrological studies and remains an ongoing area of exploration in her works.

Since 2023, Samantha has served as the annual Virtual Hostess for the Northwest Astrological Conference (NORWAC), bringing presence, comfort, and connection to the online conference platform. She presented a lecture called "The Astrology of Family Trees" to the Association for Young Astrologers (AYA) in 2024, focusing on generational symbolism and inherited patterns within familial natal charts. She is also scheduled to speak at the 2026 United Astrology Conference (UAC) on the art of planetary–gemstone correspondences and how to utilize them in practical application.

She is the founder of the local South Bay Astrology Group (SBAG), a monthly meetup that brings together local students and budding enthusiasts to discuss astrology in a community-oriented space. Samantha is also one half of The Astrology Circle Podcast, co-hosting with fellow astrologer James Pipitone, where they discuss traditional techniques, interpretive approaches, and the wide range of topics that arise in astrology and spiritual work.

To Samantha, astrology is a discipline meant to be studied over a lifetime, anchored in tradition, refined through practice, and applied with intention. She offers clear, considered insight to those she works with while continuing to deepen her own understanding of the art. Her consultations unite interpretation with practical methods of planetary remediation.
